SOS: Support Our Students is a collaborative giving platform that bridges the gap between what students need and what donors want to fund. Our purpose:

“To provide a support marketplace for donors & benefactors to directly contribute to the needs of college students.”

Many students quietly struggle to afford essentials—textbooks, lab fees, transportation, food, and basic supplies. Traditional aid can be slow, generic, or inaccessible for these micro-needs. SOS creates a transparent, human-centered channel where contributions map directly to specific items on a student’s wishlist, including time-sensitive SOS requests for urgent needs.

How It Works

• Students add items to personal wishlists and can mark urgent needs with an SOS flag (optionally targeting specific donors).
• Donors browse active SOS items on their dashboard, see real-time availability, and pledge to help—either by reserving now or marking as purchased.
• Transparency: quantities and status (desired, reserved, purchased) are visible so every pledge clearly reduces outstanding need.

Why It Matters

Micro-barriers can derail academic progress. By matching generosity to precise, verified needs, SOS reduces friction, accelerates impact, and keeps students focused on learning—not logistics.
